Port Blair, Sept. 8: The Cyber Crime Police Station (CCPS) of Andaman & Nicobar Police has successfully solved another case by apprehending a suspect involved in cyber bullying of women.
The Cyber Crime Police Station (CCPS) received a complaint about a Facebook profile being misused to send threatening messages. The suspect had manipulated images by attaching a nude body to the victim's photo before sending them. Following the complaint, authorities initiated an investigation and through continuous surveillance, the suspect was tracked down and apprehended on September 6, 2024. During interrogation, the individual confessed to altering and uploading photos to threaten the victim.
The investigation was led by Inspr. Sahil Shamsuddin, SHO Cyber Crime Police Station with assistance of Inspr. Mohd. Sameer; SI Deva Raju, Head Constable: B.K. Singh, Constable’s Sangeeta Mazumder, Atish and Kayan Mohammed and Home Guard: Gyana Sekhar.
The entire investigation was closely monitored by Shri. Lakshay Pandey, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Cyber Crime under the direct supervision of Shri. Manjeet Sheoran, IPS, Superintendent of Police, CID.
