Port Blair, Sept. 11: The Kisan Credit Card (KCC) Campaign for 2024-25 is designed to provide short-term credit to support the rearing of animals and birds. The eligibility criteria for availing KCC include farmers, both individual and joint borrowers involved in animal husbandry. Poultry and dairy farmers are eligible and must own, rent, or lease sheds for housing the animals.
Farmers should reach out to their nearest Senior Veterinary Officer to process their application. The documents required include Proof of Identity -Voter Card, Aadhaar Card/Pan Card/Driving License etc; Proof of Residence- Recent Telephone Bill/Electricity Bill/Certificate issued by Local Panchayat/Municipality; 3 nos. of Milch animal and undertaking by farmers that the animal will not dispose off and detail of space/shed available for keeping the animals whether owned or rented/leased.
