Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 30: Hindi Pakhwada fortnight was organized at ZSI, ANRC during 14th September to 30th September, 2024 to honour and recognise the significance of the Hindi language. As a part of Hindi Pakhwada, various competitions viz. Essay writing, Poem reciting, English-Hindi word meaning competition were conducted to promote awareness towards implementation of Hindi in day-to-day official work.  All the staff member of ZSI both Hindi and Non-Hindi have participated in all the events with zeal and enthusiasm.

The valedictory function of Hindi Pakhwada was conducted on 30th September, 2024. The Chief Guest of the event was Dr. E. B Chakurkar, Director, ICAR-CIARI. In his address, the chief guest highlighted the importance of using Hindi and urged its promotion in government work. He also appreciated the efforts put forth by the staffs and the way in which the Hindi Pakhwada was celebrated. He expressed his delight on seeing the overwhelming response from the staffs.

Dr. C. Sivaperuman, Officer-in-Charge, ANRC-ZSI, in his welcome address mentioned the need of paying more attention on the use of Hindi in day-to-day work as it is easy to work in Hindi. Moreover, working in Hindi language is everyone’s constitutional duty, which should be followed efficiently.

The Chief Guest distributed Prizes and Certificates to the winners and participants and concluded with vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Mrinal Kumar Das, Scientist-D & Hindi Officer.
