Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 3: Shri.Saikat Biswas, a prominent figure in the Andaman tourism sector, has been appointed as the Co-Chairman for the Eastern Region of the Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI). This appointment marks an important milestone for adventure tourism in the Eastern region, as Saikat Biswas brings extensive experience and a deep understanding of adventure travel to the role.
Saikat Biswas, an Indian Airforce veteran and founder of leading tourism companies Discover Andaman Holidays and Andaman Aquaholics, has been a pioneer in promoting adventure tourism in the Andaman Islands. Through his ventures, he has introduced unique experiences such as offbeat boat charters, scuba diving, parasailing, and guided visits to unexplored islands, aiming to make Andaman a top adventure travel destination.
In his new role as Co-Chairman (Eastern Region) of ATOAI, Saikat Biswas will focus on promoting and developing adventure tourism infrastructure, policies, and sustainable practices throughout Andamans and eastern India. "I am honored to be entrusted with this responsibility. The Eastern region, including the Andaman Islands, has immense potential for adventure tourism, and I look forward to working with ATOAI to harness that potential, promote sustainable travel, and enhance the overall tourism experience," said Saikat Biswas.
