Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 22: A team from Police Station Aberdeen, led by Insp. Vishal Ram, SHO PS Aberdeen, along with Sub Inspector Tejeshwar Rao, Head Constable Mustafa and Constables Vijay Kumar Yadav, Sanjay Kerketta, T.K. Bhattacharya & Manindro Das conducted a raid in the house of one Ritesh Kumar R/o RGT Road on 21/10/2024.

During the raid, the team apprehended seven gamblers from a gambling den at RGT Road and seized an amount of Rs. 79,570/-. The individuals apprehended during the raid have been charged under Sections 5/7 of the Andaman and Nicobar Gambling Regulation 1951.

The raid was conducted under the overall supervision of Smti. Niharika Bhatt, IPS, Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District.

The South Andaman District Police appeals the general public to share information pertaining to illegal activities and other crime to Police at 112, 03192-232100, 03192-236641 & 03192-232400 to make a healthy and drug free society. The identity of the informant will be kept secret.
