Car Nicobar, Nov. 7: In a decisive action against illicit liquor manufacturing and distribution, the beat police team from Police Station Car Nicobar, led by Sub-Inspector J. R. Krishna, Head Constable S.S Randhawa, Constables Annie and Prakash, conducted two successful excise raids on 06/11/2024 at Malacca Village.
During the raids, a total of 920 liters of Lahan (fermented wash used in illicit liquor production) was recovered and destroyed on-site under video and photographic documentation. Additionally, 4 liters of illicit liquor was seized, and two individuals Emmanuel, S/o Late Shri Fred, 46 yrs and Samson, S/o Sh. Solomon, 33 Yrs, both resident of Malacca Village were arrested and two excise cases have been registered at PS Car Nicobar and are being investigated.
Nicobar District Police reiterate their commitment to curbing illegal liquor activities in the region.
