Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 7: To enhance the capacity and skill of officials and contractors involved in the PMGSY Projects, a 3-day workshop has commenced in the Conference Hall of Chief Engineer’s Office. The training includes field visit for on hand training in the use of eMARG App by the participants.
The training was inaugurated by Shri Pradeep Agarwal, DSE, Joint DG (Ex-C)/ DP-I, NRIDA, New Delhi in the presence of Shri T.K. Prijith Rekh, Chief Engineer, APWD, Shri Shiv Singh Meena, Director (Rural Development) and other officials from NRIDA, C-DAC, NIC & MPRRDA.
The workshop aims to familiarize the Engineers of APWD, PRI & Contractors with the functionalities and benefits of the eMARG Pre/Post- 5- Year DLP Module. These sessions will provide detailed guidelines and hands on training to ensure effective utilization of the module.
In his inaugural address, Shri Pradeep Agarwal, requested all the participants to understand the use of eMARG Application and utilize the same while on execution of the PMGSY Works in A&N Islands. He informed that the training is divided into various sessions, wherein experts from various subject will speak on topics such as eMARG for road maintenance under DLP, OMMAS- eMARG Working Modalities, Complete functioning of eMARG, Gram Sadak Survey App, Post DLP eMARG and integration of OMMAS & eMARG. This will improve the updation of progress of the works and its maintenance in the online portal of Ministry of Rural Development which in turn will be effective for smooth flow of fund to the executing agencies.
Earlier, welcoming the gathering, Shri T.K. Prijith Rekh, briefed about the roads being maintained by various agencies in the Islands and the difficulties being faced due to shortage of fund for upkeep and maintenance of the road infrastructure created by various stakeholders. He requested the Officials of the Ministry of Rural Development to support the Administration to utilize the PMGSY funds for the upkeep of rural roads. He also emphasized on the importance of the training and requested all the participants for active participation and implementation at the site.
