Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 21: Heavy rain (07-11 cm) is likely to occur at one or two places over A&N Islands on Nov. 22, 23 & 24. An upper air cyclonic circulation has formed over equatorial Indian Ocean off Sumatra Coast and adjoining South Andaman Sea in lower tropospheric level at 0830 hours IST on 21st November, 2024.

Under its influence, a low pressure area is likely to form over Southeast Bay of Bengal around 23rd November. Squally weather with wind speed 35 - 45 kmph gusting to 55 kmph is likely over South Andaman Sea and along & off Nicobar Islands on 22nd November and over South East Bay of Bangal, Andaman Sea and along & off A&N Islands during 23rd - 25th November. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea along & off A&N Islands, Andaman Sea till Nov. 25.
