Mayabunder, Nov. 21: In a compassionate effort to support families affected by recent fire accidents, the Deputy Commissioner, North and Middle Andaman, has sanctioned an ex-gratia relief of Rs. 5,73,500 to 20 residents of Mayabunder and Diglipur Tehsils. This initiative aims to provide much-needed financial assistance to the victims, helping them recover and rebuild their lives.

The financial aid has been sanctioned under the guidelines of the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) and the National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF), ensuring that victims receive timely support in accordance with established norms. The Deputy Commissioner expressed his commitment to extending all possible assistance to individuals impacted by such unfortunate incidents, emphasizing the Administration's resolve to mitigate distress and restore normalcy.
