Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 25: Three days Training on Programmatic Mapping and Population Size Estimation (PMPSE) for mapping HRGs ( Female Sex Workers, Men Having Sex with Men, Transgender/ Hijras) and Bridge Population ( Migrant Labours & Truckers) organized by A&N AIDS Control Society (ANACS) from 20th to 22nd November 2024 in the conference hall of Ayush Hospital, Junglighat, Sri Vijaya Puram for the official & staff of NGO Jan Lok Kalyan Parishad (JLKP) and ANACS under the Target Intervention training programme. Around 27 participants were benefitted from this training programme.
Dr. Subrata Saha, Project Director ANACS graced the program as Chief Guest and inaugurated the training. In his key note address, he briefed on the objective and importance of the training Programmatic Mapping and Population Size Estimation to achieve the exact field data.
The participants were earlier welcomed by Shri. Arup Kumar Roy, Deputy Director, Prevention.
The training session included overview of PMPSE for High Risk Groups and clients of sex workers, roles and responsibilities for implementation of PMPSE, community engagement, ethical considerations, method and data collection tools for physical hotspots and Network Operator and Data Management using the web Portal (IESE).
The resource person included, Dr. Alok Kumar Deb, Scientist G & Nodal Person, NACO RI (E) ICMR-NIRBI, Dr. Mitali Sen, Project Coordinator NACO RI (E) ICMR-NIRBI, Shri Lalit Singh Kharayat from NACO, Shri Arup Kumar Roy, Deputy Director, Prevention and Shri S Senthil Nathan, AD-CST from ANACS.
