Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 27: In an inspiring celebration of democratic principles and constitutional values, the Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee under the leadership of Shri. Rangalal Halder, President, ANTCC and Shri. TSG Bhasker, Chairman, Campaign Committee, ANTCC on 26th November 2024 organized a grand programme in commemoration of the Constitution Day of India, 2024 at Maharashtra Mandal, Port Blair.

The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by dignitaries, symbolizing unity and enlightenment. This was followed by a solemn reading of the Preamble to the Constitution by Ms. Diksha Dular, State President of Pradesh Youth Congress, reinforcing the guiding principles enshrined in the document.

As a tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Constitution, Congress leaders prominently displayed the Constitution Book, underscoring their respect and acknowledgment of his contributions.

In the Continuation of the Programme, Speeches on various topics related to the Constitution were delivered by Shri. Rangalal Halder, President, ANTCC, Shri. TSG Bhasker, Chairman, Campaign Committee, ANTCC, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Ex-Member of Parliament, Smt. Zubaida Begum, South Andaman Coordinator, Mahila Congress, Smt. Mariyam Bibi, Zilla Parishad Member, Smt. S. Sita Laxmi, State Chief Coordinator, Jawahar Bal Manch and Shri. Abhibhushan Ghosh, Congress Leader.

The celebration also witnessed the active participation of children from the Jawahar Bal Manch, who delivered heartfelt speeches on the historical importance of the Constitution and its role as a guiding force for the nation. These young participants were later rewarded for their outstanding performance in essay, quiz, and speech competitions held as part of the Constitution Day celebrations.

To be a part of the occasion, Senior Leaders, Leaders of Congress Seva Dal, Mahila Congress, Youth Congress, City Congress, Leaders of NSUI, Mandal Committee, PRI Members, PBMC Councilors and Party Workers also celebrated this day, reflected a shared commitment to uphold the values enshrined in the Constitution.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Shri. Raj Reddy, City Congress General Secretary.
