Mayabunder, Jan 16: The North & Middle Andaman District Police proudly organized finals-cum-closing ceremony of the SP-Cup Cricket Tournament 2025 at Netaji Stadium, Mayabunder, as part of the celebrations of 73rd A&N Police Raising Day. The tournament, commenced on 12th January 2025, concluded on 16th January 2025, showcasing exceptional talent and sportsmanship.
The inauguration of the finals was graced by the Ms. Nandini Maharaj, IAS Deputy Commissioner, North & Middle Andaman District, as the Chief Guest along with Ms. Shweta K. Sugathan, IPS, Superintendent of Police, North & Middle Andaman District.The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 16 teams from across the region, who competed with zeal and determination to claim the prestigious title.
In the thrilling final match between Panipar 10 and Bengal Tigers, Bengal Tigers emerged victorious, clinching the coveted trophy along with a cash reward. The runners-up team, Best Player, Best Bowler, Best Batsmen and all the participant team were also felicitated with certificates and trophies in the closing ceremony, recognizing their spirit of sportsmanship and participation.
The North & Middle Andaman District Police extends heartfelt gratitude to all the participants, supporters, and organizers who contributed in making this tournament a resounding success. The event not only promoted physical fitness and camaraderie but also strengthened the bond between the police and the community.
