Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan. 18: The two-day State-Level Re-orientation Training Programme for AYUSH Paramedics, including Homoeo Pharmacists and Nursing Officers, organized by AYUSH Wing of DHS and A & N State AYUSH Society (NAM) concluded yesterday in the Conference Hall of AYUSH Hospital, Sri Vijaya Puram. The programme focusing on ‘Essentials of Homoeopathy, Homoeopathy Pharmacy, and Basic Life Support’, saw active participation of 20 trainees who gained insights into the fundamental principles of Homoeopathy, Non-Communicable Disease, NCDs and its Homoeopathic remedies and potentization, posology and common ailments and its Homoeopathic treatment and basic life support. Copies of the specially designed handbook on ‘General Wellness & Prevention of Common Ailments through Homoeopathy’ for Paramedics were also provided to the trainees.

The inaugural session was held on 16th Jan, 2025 which was graced by Dr. Shiny Varghese, NO, NCD, DHS as the chief guest. She lauded the organizers for the dedicated efforts and initiative. The Resource Persons were Dr. Santi Adhikary, RO, CRU (CCRH, GoI, SVP unit), Dr. Manabika Dutta, MO I/c (Homoeo) DHS, Dr. Hemawathi, MO (H), CHC Bambooflat and Dr. Kritika Chander, MO (H), AYUSH.

The technical sessions concluded with a session by Dr. Ajit Kumar, Deputy Director, Malaria / NO, Disaster Management, (Health Department) on Basic Life Support (BLS), followed by practical demonstration on BLS by Dr. Rajiv Ghosh. The trainees were awarded with certificates of participation during the valedictory function.

The successful execution of the two days programme was driven by the guidance of Dr. Kalyan P Kadbhane, DD (AYUSH) and was coordinated by Dr. Manabika Dutta along with her team.
