Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan. 29: The general public have been informed that two minutes silence will be observed at 11 am on 30th January, 2025, throughout the country, in memory of those who have sacrificed their lives during the struggle for India's freedom to be marked as Martyrs' Day.
The commencement and termination of the two minutes' silence period in A&N Islands will be indicated by blowing of Tsunami Sirens installed in the premises of Secretariat, DBRAIT, DSS Marine, Chatham Saw Mill (Forest Deptt.), Police Station Aberdeen, Police Station Pahargaon, Police Station Chatham, JNRM, Fish Landing Centre, Junglighat, IOC, Forest Guest House Corbyn’s Cove, Police Station Bambooflat, Police Station, Ograbraj, Police Station, Chouldari, Police Station, Humfreygunj, O.P Wimberlygunj, O.P Ferrargunj, Police Booth, Hati Tapu, OP Tirur, Tirur Jarawa Protection Post, OP Radhanagar, Rajiv Gandhi Aquaculture, Kodiyaghat, Police Station, Shaheed Dweep, Police Station, Swaraj Dweep, Nimbutala, Rangat, OP 19 Km, R.K Pur, L/Andaman, Fire Station, Hut Bay (L/Andaman), EOC, Car Nicobar, A.E Office, APWD, Teressa, JE Office, APWD, Chowra, A.E Office, APWD, Katchal, EOC, Kamorta and EOC, Campbell Bay.
The above Tsunami Sirens will be sounded/blown from 1059 hours till 1100 hours and after two minutes of silence, Sirens again will be sounded/blown from 1102 hours till 1103 hours to indicate completion of Silence period.
Therefore, the general public have been informed not to panic during the sounding/blowing of siren on 30th January, 2025 to observe Martyrs' Day in A&N Islands and have been requested to remain calm during the blast of siren on the date and time specified above.
