Sri Vijaya Puram, March 9: The Police Training School (PTS), Prothrapur, celebrated the successful completion of training for the 74th Batch of Recruit Police Constables (Executive) with a grand Passing Out Parade held at the Parade Ground of Police Training School, Prothrapur on 08th March 2025. The ceremony marked the culmination of months of rigorous training for 248 recruit trainees, who are now ready to serve the citizens of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands with unwavering dedication, professionalism, and integrity.

The event was graced by senior officers of the Andaman & Nicobar Police, retired police personnel, and the proud families of the recruits, who witnessed the transformative journey of their loved ones into guardians of law and order.

Shri. Hargobinder Singh Dhaliwal, IPS, Director General of Police, Andaman & Nicobar Police, presided over the ceremony as the Chief Guest. He took the ceremonial salute and inspected the parade, commending the recruits for their impeccable discipline, precision, and unwavering commitment. In his address, Shri. Dhaliwal emphasized the critical role of the newly inducted constables in upholding the rule of law and adapting to the evolving challenges of modern policing. He highlighted the significance of the new criminal laws enacted from July 1st, 2024, which have redefined the landscape of law enforcement. Shri. H.S. Dhaliwal, IPS, DGP, A & N Islands emphasized that trainees must serve the community in a manner that inculcates trust and confidence in the public.

The oath of service was administered by Shri. Uma Shankar, DANIPS, Principal of the Police Training School, in the presence of the Chief Guest and Smti. Sindhu Pillai. A, IPS, Inspector General of Police (Law & Order/Training). The oath symbolized the recruits’ solemn commitment to protect and serve with honour and integrity.

Adding to the significance of the event, Dr. Dharmesh Kumar Prajapati, Registrar, Rashtriya Raksha University, Ministry of Home Affairs, and Shri. Aaditya Purohit, Research Officer, Vice Chancellor Office, Rashtriya Raksha University, participated in the ceremony. They administered the Rashtriya Raksha University oath and awarded Degree/Diploma certificates to the trainees, recognizing their academic and professional accomplishments.

The outstanding achievements of the following recruits, who excelled in various aspects of their training, were recognized with Commendation Certificates, Trophies, and Cash Rewards by the Director General of Police, A & N Islands:

-RPC/60 M. Jeevan Rao: All-Round Best, 2nd Position in Indoor, and Best in UAC

-RPC/75 E. Manisha: Best in Indoor

-RPC/95 A.B. Nitin: Best in Outdoor

-RPC/307 K. Okesh Rao: Best in Firing

-RPC/1167 R. Deepak: Best in Drill

-RPC/211 B. Bharadwaj: Best in Computer

The Passing Out Parade concluded with the newly inducted constables marching off the parade ground, ready to embark on their journey of service and duty. The event not only celebrated their achievements but also underscored the Andaman & Nicobar Police’s commitment to maintaining law and order with excellence, dedication, and a forward-looking approach.
