Sri Vijaya Puram, March 10: To mark the occasion of 54th National Safety Week, the Department of Labour, A&N Administration conducted a weeklong programme from March 4 to 10, 2025 in association with the Industrial Establishments and Education Department with the objective to create awareness about safety at workplaces among all stakeholders and students.

The valedictory function was held in the Conference Hall of the Department of Labour today wherein Shri K. Srinivasa Rao, Chief Inspector of Factories/Labour Commissioner & DET, A&N Administration distributed prizes to the winners of various competitions conducted on safety related topic during the week.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Inspector of Factories/Labour Commissioner & DET stated that National Safety Week is celebrated every year from March 4 to 1, in order to raise awareness about Industrial Safety and promote a culture of well-being in workplaces. He also emphasized the need to adhere to safety measures as laid down under provisions of the Factories Act, 1948 at workplaces.

The National Safety Day / Week is celebrated every year on 4th March to enhance the safety awareness among workers. This year’s theme was ‘Safety and Well-Being Crucial for Viksit Bharat’.
