Sri Vijaya Puram, March 10: In a significant move to enhance road safety and ensure accountability on the roads, the Andaman & Nicobar Traffic Police advises all four-wheeler owners to install dash cameras in their vehicles. This initiative aims to improve road discipline, assist in accident investigations and provide crucial evidence in case of disputes or violations.

Dash cameras serve as an unbiased eyewitness, recording real-time footage that can help law enforcement agencies identify reckless driving, hit-and-run incidents and other traffic-related offenses. The recorded footage can also be used for insurance claims, legal proceedings and improving overall road safety compliance.

All vehicle owners, especially those operating commercial and passenger vehicles, are strongly encouraged to equip their vehicles with dash cameras at the earliest. The Traffic Police will also conduct awareness drives and awareness sessions to promote the adoption of this safety measure.

The A&N Traffic Police remains committed to ensuring safer roads for all. All vehicle owners to support this initiative and contribute to a disciplined and accident-free driving environment.
