Sri Vijaya Puram, March 10: The Pradesh Youth Congress celebrated International Women’s Day as Mahila Samman Diwas in Bambooflat and organized an Award Ceremony to felicitate outstanding women.

The function was organized under the chairmanship of Youth Congress State President Ms. Diksha Dular with active support of Youth Congress State General Secretary Shri. H. Yousuf and Youth Congress Block President Shri. Ravi with an aim to get women's contribution in the society recognized on a large scale.

In this series, Youth Congress organized various games and events like musical chair, rangoli & mehendi competitions. Following this ceremony, women who made outstanding contributions in the field of politics and local governance were honored with memento and certificates.

State President of ANTCC Shri. Rangalal Halder was present as the Chief Guest at the function along with several other dignitaries including Zilla Parishad Adhyaksha Smt. M. Rajini, Pramukh Ferrargunj Smt. Padmavathi, Pradhan Smt. Naseema, Samiti Member Shri. Raja as Special Guests.

In her address, Ms. Diksha Dular said that women are the backbone of our society and it is our duty to recognize their contribution. She emphasized that Youth Congress will always continue to work for women & youth empowerment.
