Shaheed Dweep, March 11: The Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman visited Shaheed Dweep today and held discussions with local representatives (PRIs) and officials from various departments at Hawabill Nest, Shaheed Dweep. The Interaction focused on key issues, including the need for a designated parking space at Bharatpur Market, embarkation points for fisheries and tourist boats, the construction of beachside huts, and concerns regarding water scarcity.

As part of the visit, the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman also inaugurated a newly constructed black top rural road at Laxmanpur-2. The event was attended by Panchayat Samiti Member Smt. Champa Das, Pradhan, Neil Kendra, Smt. Pinkey Das and all Ward Members of Gram Panchayat, Neil Kendra, Shaheed Dweep.

The District Administration, accompanied by PRIs, also conducted site inspections for various development projects. These included land allocation for a marriage hall at Neil Kendra and an eco-friendly shopping complex at Sitapur. Additionally, site visits were conducted for the Amrit Sarovar project at Laxmanpur and Neil Kendra.

Following the inspections, set apart orders were issued to the Pramukh of the Panchayat Samiti, Pradhan of Neil Kendra, and the APWD.
