Car Nicobar, March 19: In a significant step towards improving public transportation, Shri Amit Kale Maruthirao, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Nicobar District, today flagged off two buses at the STS Unit, Car Nicobar. The event was held in the presence of Shri Akash Kishen, Executive Engineer (APWD) and Shri Banbir Das, Assistant Engineer (APWD).
The event was organized by the STS Unit, Car Nicobar, under the supervision of Shri Shekar, Assistant Engineer (Mechanical). These new buses have been introduced as part of the Administration's ongoing efforts to enhance transport infrastructure and provide better commuting options for the residents of Car Nicobar. The initiative aims to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient transportation, catering to the needs of daily commuters, including students, office-goers, and the general public.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the Administration's commitment to strengthening public transport facilities across the district. He highlighted that the introduction of these buses will ease mobility challenges and contribute to the overall development of the region.
