Port Blair, May 12: The Department of Fisheries, A&N Administration invites applications from Individuals/Self Help Groups/Joint Liability Groups/Co-op. Societies/ Co-op. Federation/Partnership Firms/Private Limited Companies from A&N Islands for availing the subsidy for “Construction/Purchase of new Deep Sea Fishing Vessels” under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) during 2011-12. The broad terms and conditions of the programme are:- 
 
1. The subsidy @ of 25% of the cost of fishing vessel subject to a maximum of Rs 25.00 lakh per vessel would be extended under the programme. The subsidy is bank linked. 
2. The overall length (OAL) of the vessel should be minimum of 45 feet and maximum of 65 feet. 
3. Subsidy would be admissible only for newly constructed/purchased fishing vessels. 
4. The subsidy would be sanctioned only after the sanction of loan by the Bank financing the project. 
5. The vessel should be a multipurpose fishing vessel with long lining as one of the main components with provision for trolling/gill netting/ trawling, etc. 
6. The vessel should have facilities for refrigerated sea water tank/brine tank and insulated fish hold. 
7. The subsidy would be admissible for a maximum of two deep sea fishing vessels per beneficiary in case sufficient number of applicants is not available. 
 
Application form can be obtained from the Directorate of Fisheries/all Fisheries Zonal Offices/Fisheries Sub-Offices/Panchayat Samitis and the completed applications in duplicate alongwith the approved drawing, design from certified Naval Architect and cost estimate quotation from the manufacturer/supplier may be submitted to the concerned Fisheries Zonal Offices/Fisheries Sub-Offices/Panchayat Samitis/Directorate of Fisheries, Port Blair. The application form can also be downloaded from the A&N Administration’s website, www.and.nic.in. The application should reach the concerned offices on or before 15.06.2011.
