Port Blair, May 4: Applications have been invited from the licenced fishers holding registered traditional/ motorized/ mechanized fishing vessels and processing valid fishing licence at least for the last one year from the current year or Registered Fisheries Cooperative Society/ Federation/ self help groups engaged in fishing activity/ retail marketing of fish for availing subsidy for the purchase of insulated ice boxes under the programme “Supply of Insulated Ice Bozes on subsidy to fishers” under the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana. The benificiaries who have already availed the subsidy during the past five years will not be eligible for the assistance during 2011-12. 
 
The programme envisages providing of subsidy at the rate of 50% subsidy of the actual cost of the Insulated Ice Box subject to a maximum of Rs. 10,000/- per ice box of 150 ltrs/ 200 ltrs to 700 ltrs capacity. Each applicant engaged in retail marketing of fish is eligible to avail subsidy for purchase of maximum of 2 nis. Of Ice Boxes of maximum 150 ltrs capacity. Applicants engaged in fishing activity are eligible to avail subsidy for purchase of maximum of 4 nos. of insulated boxes of the capacity 200 – 700 ltrs. 
 
Application form and detailed terms and conditions of the programme can be obtained from the Director of Fisheries / all Fisheries Zonal Offices / Fisheries Sub office/ Panchayat Samities and the completed applications may be submitted to the concerned Offices mentioned above or to the Directorate of Fisheries, Port Blair. The application form can also be downloaded from the A&N Administration’s website www.and.nic.in. The application should reach the concerned offices on or before 15.06.2011.
