On the auspicious occasion of Buddha Purnima, I extend my warm greetings to the people of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. 

 

This auspicious occasion signifies the birth of Lord Buddha, who is known as one of the greatest sons of mankind. It was Lord Buddha who showed humanity the path of tolerance, compassion and non-violence. His message of living in peace and harmony has travelled far and wide and captured the hearts of millions of people across the world.
