Port Blair, Oct. 4: A five days In-Service training programme started yesterday at Car Nicobar under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan. Addressing the Participating teachers, the Chief Guest, the Education Officer of the district Shri H. Nathaniel said that the teachers have to  keep pace with the  technological advancement taking place in the field of teaching. He said that the teacher can make the learning simple and interesting  for the students in the class, if the Information and communication tools are used . He asked the teachers to use the available technology while teaching.

Shri Nathaniel called upon the teachers to be the role model for the students. He said that the teachers play important role in inculcating the moral values among them.  The society has high expectations from its  teachers, and they should strive hard to come to that level.

He hoped that the training programme would instill confidence among the teachers to shoulder   their responsibilities effectively.

More than 65 GTT Science, Maths and Arts teachers from the different schools of Car Nicobar are taking part in it. The valedictory function will be held on 8th October.
