Port Blair, May 25: On 25.05.2021 at Raj Niwas, Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.), Hon’ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands and Vice-Chairman, Islands Development Agency alongwith Shri Jitendra Narain, Chief Secretary and other senior officers of A & N Administration reviewed the next phase of package IV, comprising 12 Mega tourism/hospitality PPP Projects being implemented through ANIIDCO in this UT with the support of NITI Aayog. Consultants have been appointed and the RFP for the same is being expedited.

The NGO also distributed PPE kits, Masks, Hand gloves and Goggles to PBMC Samshan Ghat at Junglighat, Port Blair today.

RAT Test Conducted on 18 Passengers at Ferrargunj Finds No Positive Cases

Port Blair, May 24: ‘Each and every life is precious and the Administration is relentlessly working to protect its citizens from being infected with corona”, said the Secretary (IP&T), Shri Sunil Kumar Singh while addressing the routine media briefing held in the conference hall of IP&T today. He said the restriction imposed is the part of the measure to contain the transmission of the virus and called upon the Islanders to cooperate with the Administration in his fight against corona. He said, IAS & IFS Officers today inspected various areas in the city to monitor violation of COVID Appropriate Behaviour.

Port Blair, May 25: The area in and around Chouldari (Part) was declared as Containment Zone to prevent the spread of COVID-19 vide Order no. 609 dated 01.05.2021.

The health authorities have not confirmed that the conditions for removing Containment Area restrictions are fulfilled in the case of Chouldari (Part). The medical screening of all the residents of the area has already been done and samples of symptomatic persons were collected which were reported negative.

Port Blair, May 24: Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament has brought to the notice of Chief Secretary that there are about 500 (five hundred) Teachers who are Corona Warriors. They visit every household and collect data. The nature of job which they are performing has very high risk of getting effected by Corona Virus.

In order to protect these 500 (five hundred) Teachers from Corona Virus, the MP requested the Chief Secretary to provide them Covid Vaccine on priority basis so that they are not affected by the virus.
