Port Blair, Oct. 9: The Central Crime Station has arrested 7 drug peddlers with Psychotropic Drugs worth Crores of Rupees.
Receiving credible information on 1st Oct. 2020, that one T. Selvaraj R/o Garacharama near Kali Mandir is in possession of contraband substance, the information was immediately conveyed to Dy. SP (CID) and accordingly a raiding team comprising of Inspr. Mahesh Kr. Yadav, SHO, PS CCS, Inspr. Mohd Elias, SI T. Dilla Rao, ASI Vijay Shankar, Head Constable Shibani Biswas, Constable P. K Mondal, K. Rajendran, Raja Rao, N. Thangaraj, Mohd. Imran, G. Ravi and Chandran was constituted. The team was sent to Garacharma near Kali Mandir for carrying out the raid.

Programme Focused on a Wide Range of Areas Related to Strengthening India’s Border Security
Port Blair, Oct. 9: The Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) recently organised a Four Days Faculty cum Professional Development Programme on the important theme of Border Management and Intelligence. This programme was organised from 05-08 October 2020 by the Centre for Border Management and Intelligence (CBMI), under the aegis of the School of Internal Security and Police Administration (SISPA). Various sessions organised during the programme focused on a wide range of areas related to strengthening India’s border security and was attended by 65 participants from India and abroad. The participants comprised of representatives of various security forces and agencies, members of numerous police forces, academicians, and scholars, among others.

Port Blair, Oct. 8: On 3rd October 2020, a missing report of Debesha Mandal resident of New Pahargaon was reported at PS Pahargaon from Smti. Vaisali Nath R/o Ograbraj. Soon after the receipt of missing report, series of steps were taken to locate the missing person. Through technical surveillance and sustained investigation of few suspects, the entire sequence of crime came into the fore. Immediately, a case was registered u/s 364/302/120(B)/34 IPC and the investigation was taken up by Insp. D Jagdishwar Rao, SHO PS Pahargaon. During sustained interrogation, 04 suspects confessed of their involvement in the crime.
