Port Blair, June 28: The Secretary, IP&T, Shri Sunil Kumar Singh while addressing a COVID-19 media briefing held in the conference hall of IP&T today said that lockdown has been further extended with more relaxation. He urged the Islanders not to be complacent and reiterated the need for strictly adhering to COVID appropriate behavior for their own safety, safety of their family members and the society at large. Following COVID appropriate behavior in letter and spirit by every individual will help the A&N Administration to arrest the spread of corona virus and to minimize the positive cases in A&N Islands, the Secretary said.

Port Blair, June 28: Shri. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands today spoke to Shri. Port Blair, June 28: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per the data received from Health Department, a total of 1,67,029 beneficiaries have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands. A total of 4761 people were vaccinated today in A&N Islands while the number of eligible people vaccinated in the age group of 18 to 44 years stood at 44,158 in isles.

Port Blair, June 29: Social workers Tanmay Mallick along with Faiz Asif, Sashank Puria, Harjeet Singh Bhullar, Avinesh Moorthy distributed cooked food at all police barricades during the night hours on 26th June 2021. Similarly cooked food was distributed to the staffs of Health Department, Police and IRBn posted at the COVID Vaccination Centre JNRM.

He died at GB Pant Hospital during the early hours today (28-06-2021).He was 61.He was a popular students union leader during his college days at Shimla University, Himachal Pradesh.
