Car Nicobar, Dec 29: In a moving tribute to the victims and survivors of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, the Air Force Station Carnicobar, under the Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC), organized a historic 65-kilometer open-water swim around Carnicobar Island. The event, conducted on 26 and 27 December 2024, was flagged off by Air Marshal Saju Balakrishnan, AVSM, VM, Commander in Chief Andaman and Nicobar Command (CINCAN).

Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec. 29: The 12th Andaman & Nicobar State Conference of Communist Party of India (Marxist) began on 28th December, 2024 at Port Blair with a massive procession followed by public meeting at Tiranga Park. Hundreds of party workers and sympathisers participated in the mass procession which was led by D. Ayyappan, Secretary and State Secretariat Members of CPI (M). The mass procession converged into a huge public meetng at Tiranga Park at 5 p.m.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec. 29: The 37th National Under-09 Chess Championship 2024 is currently underway at Shri Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Balewadi, Pune, Maharashtra. This prestigious seven-day event, being held from 27th December 2024 to 2nd January 2025, has brought together 570 young chess talents from across the country, including 364 boys and 206 girls.
