Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec. 30: The Delegate Session of the Andaman & Nicobar State Conference of Communist Party of India (Marxist) was held on 29th December, 2024 at Atul Smriti Samiti (Bengali Club), Port Blair with the hoisting of Party flag by senior leader B. Chandrachoodan.  Delegates and Observers paid floral tributes to the martyrs at the specially erected Martyrs Memorial Column. Condolence resolution was moved by Rahul Dev Mridha and one-minute silence was observed in memory of those who passed away since last State Conference held on 27th March, 2022. Presidium consisting of D. Laxman Rao, Ramjeeban Sarkar and Nikunjo Biswas was elected to conduct the proceedings of the Delegate Session. Chairman Reception Committee B. Chandrachoodan welcomed the Delegates & Observers and leaders attending the Conference. 

Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec. 30: Andaman & Nicobar AIDS Control Society (ANACS) along with Blood Centre, G. B. Pant Hospital, Directorate of Health Services, supported Vishwa Hindu Parishad to organize a Blood Donation Camp at VKV School, Lambaline, Sri Vijaya Puram on 29/12/2024. All together 43 units of blood were donated by the voluntary blood donors.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec. 29: Dr. Chandra Bhushan Kumar, IAS, Chief Secretary of Andaman and Nicobar Islands led the Aberdeen Heritage Walk on Sunday morning, accompanied by senior officers, citizens, and heritage enthusiasts. The walk highlighted the rich cultural and historical significance of Aberdeen Village, making it a memorable experience for all participants.

Car Nicobar, Dec 29: In a moving tribute to the victims and survivors of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, the Air Force Station Carnicobar, under the Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC), organized a historic 65-kilometer open-water swim around Carnicobar Island. The event, conducted on 26 and 27 December 2024, was flagged off by Air Marshal Saju Balakrishnan, AVSM, VM, Commander in Chief Andaman and Nicobar Command (CINCAN).

Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec. 29: SAHYOG, a prominent organization committed to social and economic development, had the privilege of meeting Honourable Minister Shri. Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highways during his official visit to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The meeting took place on Saturday at Sri Vijaya Puram, where members of SAHYOG engaged in a constructive dialogue with the Minister regarding various pressing issues.
