Port Blair, Dec. 21: On 18/12/2021, an UD FIR was registered at PS Ograbraj and the dead body of the deceased identified as Shamal Mondal. Since then, no family member/relative has come forward to claim the body. The body of the deceased has been preserved at cold mortuary of GB Pant Hospital. The family members of the aforesaid person are hereby requested to approach PS Ograbraj and take over the deceased body from GB Pant Hospital.

Port Bair, Dec. 20: On Sunday (19.12.2021), the Member of Parliament, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma participated in a beach cleaning drive, organised at Haddo Sea Shore area.
Many school students, college students and local youths participated in the event and contributed their best to keep the beach clean along with the Member of Parliament.

Port Blair, Dec. 20: In the run-up to the world's largest vaccination drive, Andaman & Nicobar Islands achieved 100% vaccination to the eligible population with both doses of #COVISHIELD. Shri Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member BJP & Former State President BJP-ANI expressed gratitude towards Hon'ble PM Narendra Modi for providing free vaccines and seamless supply of doses.

Port Blair, Dec. 20: The Daily Newspaper Association (proposed) has strongly condemned attack on media personnel and camera crew of ‘News Apptak’ at Port Blair by IRBn Jawans, A&N Police. Physical assault and verbal abuses that too in presence of senior officers of A&N Police is unacceptable, said the President.

Port Blair, Dec. 20: During the RT-PCR test conducted on 437 passengers who arrived here yesterday, no positive case has been detected. Today, 12 flights with 2111 passengers arrived, out of which, 1656 were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 455 passengers (includes 22 international travellers) and the reports are awaited.
