Act 1988 (Act No.59 of 1988) read with Administration’s Notification No./2008/F.No.32-95/2008-TR dated 10th March, 2008, the District Magistrate, South Andaman District has notified for the information of all concerned that vehicular movement on the road from Govt. Press to Sinclair Junction will be closed w.e.f 14.03.2025 to 25.03.2025 for the Development of East Coast Road (Flag Point to Corbyn’s Cove).

Sri Vijaya Puram, March 13: The vessel Nalanda will sail from Sri Vijaya Puram to Chennai on 15.03.2025 at 1400 hrs. Excess baggage will be loaded from 1400 hrs to 1600 hrs on 14.03.2025. The excess baggage/cargo required to be booked in advance at Commercial Wing, DSS. Embarkation of passengers will commence from 1100 hrs to 1300 hrs on 15.03.2025. The embarkation of passengers will be closed one hour before the schedule time. Passengers reporting late will not be allowed to board the vessel.

Sri Vijaya Puram, March 12: In a proud moment for the chess community of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, two esteemed chess trainers have successfully completed the FIDE Chess Instructor training program held in Hyderabad, Telangana, and have been awarded the prestigious National Instructor (NI) title by the World Chess Federation (FIDE). The results were officially announced today.
