Sri Vijaya Puram, April 10: Shri Hanuman Jayanti will be celebrated at Chinmaya Mission, Sri Vijaya Puram on Saturday 12th April 2025 from 9 am to noon 12 pm. The programme will start at 9 am with Sunderkand path followed by Abhishekam and archana at 10.30 am. From 11.15 am onwards Bhajan and Satsang will be held followed by Arari and Prasad distribution at 12 pm. All the devotees are requested to attend the programme.

Sri Vijaya Puram, April 10: The general public have been informed that due to the ongoing migration from the ePDS system to the SMART PDS system, all Ration Card services will be temporarily unavailable. The migration process is expected to be completed by 20th April, 2025. During this period, access to Ration Card services will remain suspended.

Diglipur, April 9: The team of PS Diglipur has successfully worked out the sensational murder case of a YouTube reporter and arrested four accused persons. The brief facts of the case are as described below.
A Complaint was lodged on 30/03/2025 by Smti. Debadriti Dey W/o Sahadev Dey R/o R K Gram, Diglipur at PS Diglipur regarding the missing of her husband Sahadev Dey (38) yrs, who was a reporter of the “News Republic Andaman” YouTube channel. Upon receiving the complaint, prompt action was initiated immediately by PS Diglipur and several teams were constituted to trace the missing reporter using technical and human intelligence.

The general public/consumers and Government Departments have been informed that the power supply will remain suspended on 12/04/2025 from 8 am to 2 pm in connection with HT lines work near Garacharma and Teylerabad Junction area. The areas to be affected are Tiger Feeder: Teylerabad, Sippighat, Bimblitan, Chouldhari, Namunaghar Junction to Tirur. Outer Feeder: Wandoor, Temple Myo, Manglutan, Guptapara, Nayasahar, Dhanikhari.

Sri Vijaya Puram, April 9: In a major stride towards modernization and transparency in traffic enforcement, the e-Challan system launched by Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.), Hon’ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands and Vice Chairman, Islands Development Agency in the Conference Hall of Raj Niwas.
The launch ceremony was graced by the presence of Dr. Chandra Bhusan Kumar, IAS, Chief Secretary, Shri Hargobinder Singh Dhaliwal, IPS, Director General of Police, and several senior officers and dignitaries from the administration and police department.
