Port Blair, July 14: In a significant move towards realizing the vision of Digital India Mission and to shift towards a 100% cashless bill payment system, the Electricity Department, A&N Administration shall discontinue collection of energy bill payments at the Site Offices and Common Service Centres (CSC) for the consumers of entire South Andaman District in the first phase w.e.f. 01.08.2024.

Port Blair, July 16: As part of boosting of Fish production and diversification of Aquaculture activities in A&N Islands, the Department of Fisheries, A&N Administration in coordination with Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Aquaculture, Kodiyaghat intends to distribute Tiger Shrimp Seeds (Penaeus Monodon) at nominal applicable rates to the Fish Farmers undertaking Shrimp farming in Andaman & Nicobar Islands from 22nd to 25th July, 2024.

Port Blair, July 16: IGNOU has extended the last date for fresh admission for all the courses offered under the online and ODL mode for the July 2024 session. The last date is now 31st July. Interested and eligible candidates can visit the official website and register themselves for new OD Land online mode courses of IGNOU. The admission process is fully online, and one needs following documents for register: scanned passport size photograph, scanned signature, scanned documents of required educational qualifications etc. For fee payment, candidates can make use of credit card, debit card and other online payment methods.
