The general public and consumers of Electricity Department have been informed that on Mar. 7, there will be power break in few areas between 2 pm and 5 pm for the carrying out of annual maintenance of 6.3 MVA power transformer at the Phoenix Bay Sub-Station. However, the Department is trying to make an effort to maintain the power supply consistent while working. The areas to be affected are Light House, Phoenix Bay, Fisheries Jetty area, Anarkali, Delanipur, Quarry Hill, Phongy Kyaung, Foreshore Road, Megapode, Teal House, Horticulture Road from 2pm to 5 pm; and Marine Hill, Dugnabad complete, Round Basti & Netaji Club area from 2 pm to 3 pm.

Port Blair, March 5: United States Coast Guard Cutter Bertholf (WMSL 750), a California-based National Security Cutter (NSC), is scheduled to arrive in Port Blair, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Thursday, March 7, 2024.
This arrival will mark the first time a U.S. Coast Guard cutter has visited Port Blair.

DGP, A&N Islands Inaugurates e-Forensics Portal for Seamless Upload and Download of Forensic Reports
Port Blair, March 5: The Director General of Police, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri. Devesh Chandra Srivastva, IPS, inaugurated the e-Forensics Portal for smooth Upload and Download of digitally signed electronic Forensic Examination Reports in Compliance with New Legislation on three criminal law today, at the Conference hall, Police Headquarters. The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior Police officials, including all the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Superintendents of Police & Dy. Superintendents of Police, A & N Islands as well as Assistant Director (FSL), A&N Islands.

Mao, Director, Botanical Survey of India, Kolkata and Member of Research, Advisory, & Monitoring Committee (RAMC), Botanical Survey of India, visited Zoological Survey of India, Andaman & Nicobar Regional Centre, Regional Museum of ZSI on 28th February 2024 and proposed site for National Coral Reef Research Institute (NCRRI) at Beodnabad on 1st March 2024.
