Port Blair, Oct. 12: A meeting of the Central Executive Committee of the Non-Gazetted Government Officers’ Association was held at Crusade House, Port Blair on 10th October 2020. The meeting discussed on various pending grievances of Govt. Employees working under A&N Administration and decided to pursue issues like delay in posting of teachers who have already been promoted, undue delay in granting of MACP/Promotion of employees of RD, Health Departments and JNRM. The meeting expressed dissatisfaction on inordinate delay in filling-up of vacant posts of Lower Division clerks and teachers.

Port Blair, Oct. 12: The 5-day long bamboo making training for the members of SHGs formed under DAY-NULM concluded on 10th October 2020. The training programme was conducted by Port Blair Municipal Council in collaboration with ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra, CIARI at Sippighat .

Port Blair, Oct. 12: A cremation shed was inaugurated at Govind Nagar, Havelock by Shri. Apurba Chandra Roy, Pramukh, Port Blair Panchayat Samiti on 1st of October 2020. Shri. Apurba Chandra Roy also inaugurated a Vegetable Market at Havelock on 9th of October 2020.

Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association Express Anguish Over Deplorable Condition
Port Blair, Oct. 9: The Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association, Andaman & Nicobar Islands have expressed its deep concern and anguish over the deplorable condition of Government Schools of the islands due to the non-posting of Principals and Vice Principals. In a letter addressed to the Hon’ble Lt. Governor the General Secretary of the Association, Shri T S Sreekumar, requested his immediate intervention for the filling-up of a large number vacant posts of Principals and Vice Principals.
