Dr. Saji Varghese Felicitated by IHRCCO for his Unwavering Contributions for Patient Care

Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 12: The International Human Rights and Crime Control Organisation (IHRCCO) has awarded Mrs. Saraswati Narayan as the National Leader for the year 2025. Mrs. Narayan is also the National General Secretary of IHRCCO and the State President of IHRCCO.

Founded in the year 2016, the IHRCCO has been silently doing many social works to maintain harmony and peace in the Islands. The team today has more than 30 active members from different fields of expertise, who help the needy. Right from resolving family issues to protection of child rights and human rights, the organisation has been actively involved under the leadership of Mrs. Narayan in the Islands.

Shaheed Dweep, Jan. 12: The Vivekananda Mela kicked off on an exhilarating note this evening at Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Playground, Shaheed Dweep, radiating excitement and joy across the event. Organized by Gram Panchayat, Neil Kendra, Shaheed Dweep, the Mela was inaugurated by the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Dr. Chandra Bhushan Kumar, IAS, by cutting the ribbon in the presence of Secretary (Fisheries/IP&T/Art & Culture), Smt. Jyoti Kumari, IAS and officers of A&N Administration, local PRI Members, excited residents of the Island and curious visitors.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan. 12: The Department of Sports & Youth Affairs, A&N Administration in association with Department of Education, JNRM, NYK, SAI and Ramakrishna Mission organized a Yoga Session, a Youth Rally and a special painting event ‘Art for Cause’ today to celebrate the National Youth Day 2025 on the occasion of Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. Altogether, 800 youth from various educational institutions and general public of Sri Vijaya Puram participated in various programmes.

On Sunday, January 12, 2025, a group of senior officers and civilians, led by Dr. Chandra Bhushan Kumar, Chief Secretary, participated in a special "Corbyn’s Cove Heritage Walk”. The walk began at Girls School Junction and passed through Flag Point, Goodwill Estate, Hornbill Resort, ANIIMS Campus, and the Shrine of Allama Fazl-e-Haq Khairabadi, ending at Corbyn’s Cove.
