Port Blair, Sept. 23: Due to travel restrictions on account of COVID, over 240 tribals from Car Nicobar have had to remain in Port Blair. They had come for various reasons like medical treatment, administrative work etc. While efforts are on-going by the Administration, to send them back to Nicobar, M/S Ellen Hinego Ltd., apex co-operative body and Jadwet Trading Co. to provide some relief today distributed dry ration kits/packets containing all essentials, to these 240 individuals, in a simple function at the Nicobari home.

It gives me immense pleasure to share my thoughts on the World Pharmacist Day been observed on 25th September every year. This year being a very important and crucial for the entire Health sector due to the Covid pandemic and I am proud that Pharmacist have emerged as frontline Warriors against Corona. Rightly said by Honble PM Narendra Modiji that India has emerged as the Pharmacy of world and being Pharmacist, we are the custodian of Pharmacy.

Port Blair, Sept. 23: The Chinmaya Mission Port Blair will be organsing week long Shri Bhagwat Mahapuran Saptah from October 3 to October 10, 2020 at Mission Auditorium. The Katha will be held every day from 5 pm to 8 pm. Resident Acharya of the Port Blair Mission swami Shuddhananda Saraswati will conduct the programme. The devotees have been requested to wear the Mask and follow the social distancing at the venue Mission auditorium. The transportation after the katha i.e. 8 pm will be arranged by the Mission.

Port Blair, Sept. 22: The Member of Parliament, A&N Islands, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma has urged the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi to consider for regularisation of the services of ASHA and Anganwadi workers through an enactment of a comprehensive regulation to bring them at par with other regular employees of the Government with all benefits such as wages, insurance, leave, pension etc.
