Port Blair, Oct. 17: Under the National Programme for Control of Blindness & Visual Impairment, an Eye Screening Camp was conducted at Chatham Saw Mill today by an eye team headed by Dr. Kapil G. Shahare, Ophthalmologist, G. B. Pant Hospital as part of the observance of World Sight Day 2022.

Port Blair, Oct. 17: All concerned candidates have been informed that the Assistant Registrar, Directorate of Admissions, University of Calicut has informed that the University of Calicut has reserved one seat each in all UG & PG programmes, additional created and reserved over and above the sanctioned strength in the affiliated Arts and Science Colleges under this University, but within the Statutory maximum limit for the native students of the Union Territory of Andaman & Nicobar Islands for the academic session 2022-23. The closing date for admission for Under Graduate and Post Graduate programmes in the affiliated colleges under University is Oct. 28, 2022.

Port Blair, Oct. 17: Heavy rain (07-11 cm) is likely to occur at one or two places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands on Oct. 18, 19, 20 & 21. Due to squally weather, wind speed exceeding 45 kmph is likely to prevail over Andaman Sea along & off Andaman and Nicobar coasts. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea from Oct.18 till further order.
