Port Blair, Nov. 19: The Novel Corona Virus (Covid-19) as a pandemic has threatened the health and lives of millions of people around the globe. Depression, anxiety, panic attacks, psychotic symptoms, delirium and suicidal tendencies were majorly reported. With a dearth of trained Counselors in our Islands, ISMAT – a women’s initiative, proposes to conduct a workshop for peer supporter for dealing with the emotional stress associated with covid-19.

Concerned Parties Agree for Roaster System after Series of Meetings

Port Blair, Nov. 18: To streamline the operations of Inland Vessels plying in and around Port Blair, Deputy Commissioner (SA) Shri. Suneel Anchipaka, IAS convened a series of meetings along with Department of Tourism and other key Stakeholders. After due deliberations a roaster system was proposed and all the concerned parties agreed for the same.

Port Blair, Nov. 18: The Member of Parliament, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Lt. Governor, A&N Islands to issue necessary directions to the concerned department to redress and resolve the grievances of Tribal Council, Katchal Islands at the earliest possible.
