Port Blair, Jan 13: In a special episode of ‘Morning Tea Aapke Saath’, All India Radio Port Blair will broadcast a LIVE phone-in programme on the topic 'Importance of Police-Public relation for maintaining Law and Order. It can be heard from 0715 hrs to 0800 hrs on 15.01.2021 (Friday). The Director General of Police, Shri. Satyendra Garg, IPS will be the guest in the Studio answering to the queries of the listeners on the above said topic.

Port Blair, Jan 13: It has been observed that many vehicle owners whose vehicles are registered in other states are plying in A&N Islands without furnishing any intimation to the Transport Department, which is a violation of the provisions of M.V. Act. Data of such vehicles are not available with the agencies in the UT which makes it difficult to trace the details in the event of any accident or other untoward incident.

Port Blair, Jan 13: The EVM & VVPAT Warehouse was inaugurated by Shri K R Meena, Chief Electoral Officer, A&N Islands in presence of Shri Suneel Anchipaka, Deputy Commissioner (South Andaman), Shri Yash Chaudhary, ADM/ERO, Shri R C Meena, Jt. Chief Electoral Officer, Shri Kamlesh Kumar, Dy. CEO and officers & staff of DC’s office & Election Department. The Warehouse has been constructed with an estimated cost of Rs.324.08 lakhs and execution carried out by APWD.

Traffic Issues, Curbing the Menace of Bootlegging and Drugs on Agenda: DGP
Port Blair, Jan 12: Twenty-Two days after taking over as the new Director General of Police, A&N Islands, Shri Satyendra K Garg, IPS today had an informal interaction with the Editors of Daily Newspapers. Garg, who is well experienced in traffic management and law, while discussing his priorities with the scribes said that his focus will be on improving the traffic management system, curbing the menace of bootlegging and drug peddling and bridging the gap between the general public and the islanders.
