DEO Urges School Management Committee Members to Play Active Role
Diglipur, Sept. 6: An Environment building Programme for the members of the School Management committees of the different Schools of Diglipur Educational zone, under “Samagra Shiksha” was held today at the Conference Hall of the Block Project Office Diglipur. With the aim to make the SMC members aware of the different interventions and facilities being given to the Children with special Needs in schools, the resource persons of the Block Project Office explained elaborately on the different aspects.

Port Blair, Sept. 6: Former Member of Parliament, A&N Islands, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma has extended his congratulations to three officials of the A&N Administration Viz. Shri S. Raju, Shri Santosh Prakash and Shri Muneer Ahmed on their promotion to the DANICS (Delhi, Andaman and Nicobar Islands Civil Services) cadre. The promotion, issued via Order No. 14016/13/2023-UTS-II dated 29th August 2024 is being hailed as a significant achievement for the Islands' Administration.

Tarun Kumar Mondal, Hon’ble Chief Judicial Magistrate, North and Middle Andaman District, Mayabunder, delivered a judgment in the PS Kalighat case, vide FIR No. 21/2023 U/s 20(b)(ii) A of the NDPS Act, 2012, convicting the accused, Lila Debi. The court's decision to impose a sentence on Lila Debi reflects the seriousness of the offense and serves as a strong warning against such unacceptable acts. It sends a clear message to society that those who commit crimes will be held accountable and faces severe consequences for their actions.
