Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb. 6: The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry is proposing an initiative to promote and celebrate the rich culinary heritage of each District of the country, akin to One District One Cuisine (ODOC) Initiative and in line with the Hon'ble Prime Minister's vision of 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' and ‘Vocal for Local' initiative. The objective of the initiative is to showcase the unique dishes, ingredients, and food specialties of each district of the country, elevating their recognition both domestically and globally.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb. 6: A Mini Reproductive and Child Health (RCH) Camp will be conducted under RCH programme by Union Territory Health Mission (UTHM) in association with Directorate of Health Services, A&N Administration and ANIIMS on 8th February, 2025 from 10 am onwards at Rutland. The Gynecologist, Pediatrician, Orthopedic, Dermatology, Ophthalmology and Dental Surgeon will be providing their services during the camp. Needy persons have been requested attended and avail the services.

The general public and Govt. Department have been informed that power supply will remain suspended on Feb. 8 at Tiger Feeder: Teylarabad, Sippighat, Bimblitan Junction, Chouldari, Port Mout, Ograbraj, Namunaghar, Dundus Point, Tushnabad to Tirur and Outer Feeder: Wandoor, Humfreygunj, Guptapara, Dhanikhari and Nayashar, in connection with urgent maintenance of HT/LT line under Chouldari Sub-Division. 

Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb. 6:   The beneficiaries in respect of Old Age, Destitute, Widow and Disability pensioners who are receiving pensions from Social Welfare Department and who have not yet submitted their Life Certificates have been requested to submit Life Certificate to the concerned Anganwadi Workers/Mukhya Sevika by 15.02.2025, failing to do so, may lead to stopping of financial assistance. As Life Certificate is a mandatory document to verify the continued eligibility of beneficiaries.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb. 5: The Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services has successfully performed a Rumenotomy on a cow at the field level today. The animal was initially brought to Garacharma Hospital with the history of anorexia. Upon rectal examination, ruminal impaction was noticed. Thereafter, the surgical procedure called Rumenotomy was carried out under paravertebral anesthesia to treat the ruminal impaction. During the surgery, approximately 15 kg of plastic waste and several metallic foreign bodies were removed. The procedure was performed by Dr. Harsha G.V, assisted by the para-veterinary staff of Garacharma Hospital.
