In his letter, Ayyappan said, “As your goodself may kindly be aware, four persons including a minor boy were killed in the STS bus accident which occurred on 15th November 2024 at Rest Camp in Mayabunder. The accident occurred due to lack of proper checking and maintenance of the buses by the Transport Department authorities. Old buses which had already crossed the mandatorily permitted period of utility have been put into service by the Transport Department with impunity. The above accident which took four precious lives of innocent people speaks volumes about the way the government institutions are being run under the present regime”.
