Swaraj Dweep, Nov. 21: As per the communication received from the Divisional Forest Officer, Swaraj Dweep, a team of Forest Officials comprising of Shri S. Satish, Deputy Ranger, Shri Dhanaroopan, Forester, Shri Eswar Hemraon, Forester, Shri Amitava Hawalader, Forest Guard, Shri Aneeth Anand Raj, Forest Guard, Shri Adom, Forest Guard and workers carried out patrolling in John Lawrence Islands attached to Rani Jhansi Marine National Park on 14th November 2024 whereby the team detected 239 pieces of illegally hand sawn timber (Hardwood) measuring 4.012 Cu Mts. stacked in the interior jungle on the North Eastern side of the said Island.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 21: The National Book Week-2024 organized by State Library, Sri Vijaya Puram concluded yesterday with prize distribution ceremony held at its premises. The Deputy Director Education (Perl), Directorate of Education, Smti M V Jolly as the chief guest of the valedictory function gave away prizes to winners of different competitions organized during the weeklong celebration. Smti M V Jolly appreciated the students for their participation in various competitions conducted at State Library. Carmel Sr. Sec. School bagged the special trophy for overall best performing school this year.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 21: In continuation to zero tolerance policy against any kind of crime, a dedicated team of PS Pahargaon have cracked a theft case within a short span of time, resulting in apprehension of Children in Conflict with Law (CCL).
That on 20/11/2024, a complaint was lodged by D. Arockiyam S/o Smti Amala Deepa (31) yrs R/o Burmanallah regarding theft of cash worth Rs.10k from his café located near vehicle parking area at Bathubasti on 19/11/2024 at around 2115 hrs.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 21: The Andaman Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee President, Shri. Rangalal Halder has made an appeal to the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, highlighting the urgent need for the creation of Graduate Trained Teacher (GTT) Computer Science posts in our Islands.
In his Letter, Shri Halder expressed deep concern over the prolonged neglect of this issue, which has persisted for more than 15 years. This delay has left numerous qualified computer science educators in the Islands without the opportunity to contribute to the educational framework.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 21: The Red Ribbon Club of Jawaharlal Nerhru Rajkeeya Mahavidyalaya (JNRM) organized an Orientation and Capacity Building programme on the theme ‘Saathi Haath Badhana’ on 21st November 2024 in the College Auditorium. More than 250 Students participated in the orientation programme. As a part of the programme an inter Departmental Cultural Dance Competition was also organised for the students.
