Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 22: The ICAR-Central Island Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR-CIARI), Sri Vijaya Puram, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, organized a field day on “Tuber Crops Diversity and Scientific Tuber Crops Cultivation for Improving Food Security” on November 20, 2024. Dr. I. Jaisankar, Senior Scientist at ICAR-CIARI, Port Blair, briefed the participants on tuber crop diversity in the islands.

This was the first General House meeting after the new committee of ADTOI took the charge and was participated by members from all parts of the country.

The program will cover modern goat farming practices, including health management, breeding, nutrition, and housing, with expert guidance and practical demonstrations. Participants will receive a certificate upon successful completion. Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 22: The Andaman Nicobar Chess Association (ANCA) will hold Selection Trials for the National Under-09 and Under-13 Chess Championships on November 23, 2024, at Chinmaya Mission, Port Blair.
All registered players are requested to report at the venue by 8:30 AM on 23.11.2024. The two best players each in the Boys’ and Girls’ categories for both age groups will be selected to represent the Andaman & Nicobar Islands at the nationals.
