Port Blair, Nov. 6: The Pradesh Congress Committee, Andaman & Nicobar Islands under the leadership of Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma, President, PCC following the directions of AICC, New Delhi has organised Satyagraha and Upwaas programmes to observe “Kisan Adhikar Diwas” at Tushnabad junction and Wimberlygunj junction in South Andaman district on 31.10.2020 in a peaceful manner after following the COVID-19 guidelines/protocol. Party workers which includes senior leaders, farmers and farm labourers, shop keepers, whole sale market, sundry employees from different places attended the programme to protest against the three Agriculture Bills passed by the NDA Government demanding the withdrawal of the Anti-Agriculture and Farm Bill which is against the interest of the crores of farmers and agriculture labourers in the country including A&N Islands.

Port Blair, Nov. 6: The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, Andaman & Nicobar Islands under the leadership of Shri. N.K Udhaya Kumar, President and under overall leadership of Shri. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party, organised a peaceful protest in front of BJP Headquarters, Port Blair against the recent arrest of the journalist Shri. Arnab Goswami, Editor of Republic TV by the Maharastra Police, following political vendetta of the Maharastra Government.

Port Blair, Nov. 6: In order curb the menace of adulterated food packaging, Food Safety Officers from the District Administration conducted surprise raids on various ice cream manufacturing units functioning in Port Blair. It was found that four such units were operating in gross violation of the Food Safety and Standards (Packaging and Labelling) Regulation 2011.
