Port Blair, Jan. 2: During the RT-PCR test conducted on 522 passengers who arrived here yesterday, 2 positive cases have been detected. Today, 14 flights with 2341 passengers arrived, out of which, 1957 were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 379 passengers (includes 30 international travellers) and the reports are awaited.

ANTCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder expressed deep sadness at the passing away of Smt. Hazara Bibi (age 78), daughter of Late Rahim Ali resident of Old Pahargaon village who breathed her last on Sunday 10.15 am at G.B Pant Hospital. Halder prays for eternal peace of the departed soul and for enough strength to the members of the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.

Port Blair, Dec. 31: The residents of Rangat, Middle Andaman have expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Secretary, Andaman & Nicobar Administration, Shri Jitendra Narain, IAS for a prompt action taken against the Medical Officer of CHC Rangat. The residents have been complaining about the wrong behavior to the concerned authorities for long.
