Port Blair, May 17: Due to administrative reasons the schedule sailing programme of MV Kalighat for Campbell Bay on 18.05.2022 has been revised. Now the vessel will sail for Campbell Bay on 18.05.2022 (Wed) at 1000 Hrs from Haddo Wharf and will sail for Port Blair on 19.05.2022 (Thu) at 2000 Hrs from Campbell Bay via Nancowry & Car Nicobar. Passenger Tickets for onward journey will be issued on 18.05.2022 at Haddo Wharf two hours prior to the departure time of the vessel based on the list provided by Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Port Blair and also after due verification of COVID Test Certificate and Islander Card/Local Certificate/Tribal Pass etc.

Port Blair, May 17: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,78,927 beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands. Similarly, 23,464 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 yrs. and 12,092 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 12 to 14 yrs. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 22682.

Port Blair, May 17: The Practical Exams for B.SC (old scheme) for Life Science, Physics and Chemistry) programme of Indira Gandhi National Open University is scheduled on 18th, 19th and 20th May, 2022. The practical exams will be conducted at JNRM, College, Port Blair. The exam dates and timing has already been intimated to the examinees by sending SMS.

Port Blair, May 17: During RAT conducted on 34 passengers bound for North & Middle Andaman at Ferrargunj, no positive case has been detected. At Mohanpura Bus Terminus, test was conducted on 42passengers, no positive case has been detected.At Phoenix Bay Jetty,73 passengers were tested with RAT, no positive case has been detected. At helipad, 1passenger was tested with RAT and the report was negative.

Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands has deeply mourned the sad and untimely demise of Shri Ravi Kandaswamy (Social worker) H/o Smti. Geeta Kandaswamy, age 62 years R/o Aberdeen Bazar, Port Blair who passed away at GB Pant Hospital in the afternoon of 17th May 2022. He prayed to the Almighty to give eternal peace to the departed soul and courage to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.
