Port Blair, May 9: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,77,614 beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands. Similarly, 23,454 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 yrs. and 11,952 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 12 to 14 yrs. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 21127. 

Port Blair, May 9: During the RT-PCR test conducted on 229 passengers who arrived here yesterday, no positive case has been detected. Today, 16 flights with 2538 passengers arrived, out of which, 2238 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 295 passengers and the reports are awaited.   

Port Blair, May 8: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary of Andaman & Nicobar Administration to issue necessary directions to Department of Sports as well as Department to Art and Culture to conduct summer camps for dance, music, painting and various sports so that children can make use of this summer vacation to learn new skills and pursue hobbies under expert guidance.

Port Blair, May 8: In a joint exercise by the District Child Protection Unit under the overall supervision of Shri Suneel Anchipaka, Chairman (DCPU)/Deputy Commissioner (SA) in coordination with the Child Welfare Committee and Police Station Pahargaon, a minor girl hailing from Howrah District, West Bengal was rescued.
