Mayabunder, Nov. 21: In a compassionate effort to support families affected by recent fire accidents, the Deputy Commissioner, North and Middle Andaman, has sanctioned an ex-gratia relief of Rs. 5,73,500 to 20 residents of Mayabunder and Diglipur Tehsils. This initiative aims to provide much-needed financial assistance to the victims, helping them recover and rebuild their lives.

Mayabunder, Nov. 21: In an effort to enhance disaster preparedness and response capabilities, the District Administration of North & Middle Andaman, under the leadership of Shri Dilkhush Meena, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, successfully conducted a Table Top Exercise for a Joint Mock Exercise in collaboration with the 4th Battalion National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team. The exercise was based on the scenario “Collapsed Structure Search and Rescue” (CSSR) and would take place on November 22, 2024, as per the Ministry of Home Affairs’ schedule.

This initiative is part of the 'One Nation, One Student ID' program launched by the GoI, aligning with the new National Education Policy of 2020. For students, APAAR functions as a digital record. APAAR also empowers students to accumulate and store their academic accomplishments, facilitating seamless transitions between institutions for the pursuit of further education. The APAAR ID simplifies the processes of credit recognition and transfer right from the school level, thereby, streamlining academic progression and recognition of prior learning.
